Abbott Animal Health is currently working on the following new product development projects:

1. Blood ketone monitoring system – veterinary labeled, for dairy cattle ketone testing. Ketosis is a metabolic disease of lactating dairy cattle that results from a negative energy balance when the demands from high milk production exceed energy intake.
2. Blood glucose monitoring system for the research laboratory. The system will be specifically calibrated for the whole blood samples of mice and rats.
